In loving memory

Karen Lowery

October 15, 1957 – May 8, 2020

Karen Lowery, 62, passed away on May 8. Karen is survived by her children Tiffanie (Donald) Taylor, Darryl, Dumont, and Damon; her brothers Kevin (Marcia) and Kermit (Karen); and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Karen was preceded in death by her parents Oslet and Osceola, as well as her brother Kent.

Karen truly brought her family together with her big heart and personality. It was impossible to miss her at family gatherings – she would always make it known that she had arrived. Karen consistently put others above herself, generously sharing her time with her family, her church, and her community. Karen loved travel and living life, whether it was by spending an afternoon at the casino or taking a family trip down to Florida. Karen will be deeply missed by all those who were touched by her friendly, giving spirit.

Donations in Karen’s name are welcome to Ohio Cancer Research.

Karen was a beautiful person inside and outside. Her light constantly shined with her family, friends, enemies, and strangers alike. She looked at people as children of God just as she was. She testified of God’s love whenever the opportunity presented. Karen will always be remembered as a kind and loving mother. Fun loving with her children and grandchildren and family and friends. Feistiness was very familiar to Karen and it added so much to her personality. RIH. Love Cheryl

We have experienced so much together as cousins, so many memories. One thing for certain, two things for sure, we always parted with me saying "I love you" and you answering, "I love you more and God loves you most." So rest in peace my little sister-cousin. I miss you like crazy. Thank you for sharing your mother with me after mine was gone. I will carry you in my heart until we meet again.

May Our Father build a fence around each one of Karen's family member collectively and give comfort to during this difficult time. Rest Up my friend. I will always treasure our friendship. The type of friendship you offered me and so many other individuals just does not exist anymore. I want to personally thank you for all you contributed to the world. God Speed.

Karen and me grew up together, best friends, actually. We had so much fun together. In school Karen was an "A" student, we didn't have too many classes together. But after school we hung out. I have so many good memories of Karen, mostly as a loyal friend.
I will miss our talks on the phone and messaging each other even though we were 3,ooo miles apart. But I know I'll see you again, old friend. But for now, I will miss you!
Love, Debbie
