In Loving Memory
Ritchie Angeles

Our beloved Ritchie Angeles passed away peacefully on March 28th from a heart attack while under anesthesia in the care of his medical team. Ritchie was born in Los Angeles and grew up with his mother, Donna, stepfather, Victor, and his grandparents, Alice and Anthony. His father, Rick, and stepmother, Sherry, were also part of his life alongside with his stepsisters, Sheree, Tina, and Julie. Ritchie was very proud of his father’s service to his country. Ritchie graduated from Newbridge School and attended Santa Monica College. He worked with Fox 11, KTTV, Mach 1 wrestling, and sports radio. Although he had been confronted with many health concerns over the years, Ritchie never lost his amazing sense of humor and positive attitude in dealing with the challenges that came his way. Ritchie had the biggest heart and most pure and generous spirit that will be remembered by his huge group of friends that he embraced as his own family. Family was so important to him and he helped care for his grandparents who he adored until their passing. Ritchie was married to Claudia Lopez and became part of her family as well. He loved the family he had created with Claudia and pups Lucy and Linus. Ritchie’s true love was standup comedy, and he brought the same energy of his standup to his friendships, especially with his spot-on imitations. He was an incredible listener and was always ready to help his friends and family. For those who were lucky enough to have Ritchie in their life, he was a truly unique individual full of joy and true kindness. He will live on in all our memories and be greatly missed.

Ritchie,
You always made the work day a bit brighter. Enjoyed our chats about sports and your wicked sense of humor we both shared. A kind soul who always brought a smile.
I never knew Ritchie Angeles that well. I knew that he was friendly with Jon Ian; that he always read the LA Times sports page in the back of whatever class we were in together. We went separate ways. I’m sorry that I didn’t know him better or get the chance to see him again.
My condolences are with his family. Hey Ritchie, you’re finally going to meet Tommy La Sorda.
I’ve got the feeling that God needs all the talent he can get.
I love you and miss you.
Your sister

I seen him a few times. He was always a happy person so positive. He had a lot of his momma in him. He came to see my dad Richard Holguin with his grandpa Bob Holguin and mother Donna. He brought comfort there. God bless you Ritchie, love you lots Gerry Holguin Garcia
Ritchie was in my 5-6 grade class at Newbridge. I can still see him first row, third seat. He was kind, caring, funny,, just a joy. RIP Ritchie. Love Roberta
Ritchie was a colleague, friend and helluva nice & funny guy. I’d often come in close to deadline & Ritchie was still cracking jokes & laughing. Somehow that lowered the stress level & I think that was by design. Always with a welcoming face & humor. I was truly blessed to have known Ritchie and will cherish some wonderful memories. You done good son & I’m sure you’ve got everyone rolling in the aisles up there.?
Such a good, kind heart… a sweet man who loved people, loved to laugh. We had so much fun working together… Ritchie was special, I’ll never forget him.
I’m so sad! I’m a long time fan of his! You will be missed
